How to Get Victorious Fate: Unlocking the Trialmaster Challenge in PoE 2
To get Victorious Fate and unlock the Trialmaster challenge in Path of Exile 2, you need to participate in the endgame activity called the Trial of Chaos. Here’s how to unlock the checkpoint and face the Trialmaster:
-
Complete 10 Waves of the Trial of Chaos:
Survive all 10 rounds in this arena-style gauntlet. Each round pits you against escalating waves of enemies, traps, and unique challenges. -
Defeat Special Bosses in Round 10:
On the 10th round, a boss will appear. There are three possible bosses—Uxmal, Bahlak, or Chetza—and each drops a different “Fate” fragment. Victorious Fate specifically drops from Chetza, the Feathered Plague. -
Collect All Three Fates:
To unlock the door to the Trialmaster’s tower, you must obtain:-
Cowardly Fate (drops from Uxmal, The Beastlord)
-
Deadly Fate (drops from Bahlak, The Sky Seer)
-
Victorious Fate (drops from Chetza, The Feathered Plague)
Which boss you face—and thus which Fate you get—is random each run, so you may need to complete the Trial of Chaos multiple times. Alternatively, you can buy or trade for missing Fate fragments via the Currency Exchange or from other players.

-
Unlock and Challenge the Trialmaster:
Once you possess Cowardly, Deadly, and Victorious Fate, use them to open the Trialmaster’s lair after the 10th round. Defeating the Trialmaster for the first time unlocks your fourth Ascendancy point and offers a chance at powerful unique drops.
-
Consider teaming up or preparing high defenses for the boss fight, as the Trialmaster encounter is demanding.
-
The process is high-stakes, with failure in a run losing all accumulated loot, but perseverance and preparation pay off with major progression and rewards.
Get Victorious Fate by beating Chetza in the 10th round, assemble all three Fates, and you’ll unlock the Trialmaster challenge in Path of Exile 2.
